SYNERGY HomeCare of Fredericksburg is owned and operated by Beata Alghabra, who comes from a background in healthcare management and finance. She is joined by Jalal Alghabra, PA-C, who has more than 20 years of experience working as a healthcare provider.
The company serves residents of the City of Fredericksburg as well as the surrounding counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, Culpeper, Orange, and Caroline. Their services range from companion care to personal care to specialized care for people with chronic health conditions, memory care, diabetes care or recovering from illness or surgery.
Beata was drawn to the home care industry after witnessing her own aging parents’ passion for living independently and the struggles as an adult child to accomplish and respect their wishes. This meant providing them with trusted, quality care in the privacy of their own home.
“It all started during Covid. My father was hospitalized and wasn’t going to be released from the hospital until we found care for him, but he refused to live anywhere but in his home. I can’t say that I blamed him. There’s nothing better than to be surrounded by the sense of security of your own home, your possessions, your comforts, your routines and habits, and the memories from all the years of effort and hard work it took to possess them. No one wants to let go of that. That’s what it means to be human.”
As someone who already placed incredible value on independence and providing others with the tools to better themselves, home care was a natural next step.
By her side is in-house administrator and husband of 20 years, Jalal Alghabra, who oversees the onboarding of new care professionals and clients.

“We want to take care of our caregivers as much as we want to take care of our clients,” said Beata. “We believe that in order to have quality care and service, it all starts with providing our caregivers the foundation, pay and structure needed for them to do what they love, which is taking care of our beloved clients” Beata states. “We place an emphasis on preventing burnout, focusing on mental health and providing a fun place to work. All of these things translate to happy caregivers. Ultimately, we want our caregivers to be part of the SYNERGY HomeCare family for the long-term.”
“Jalal provides the calm, steadfast resolve that one needs to navigate working in healthcare. He provides a fun-loving atmosphere that’s hard to find these days. I’m blessed in so many ways to have him a part of this spectacular team and organization. I am in awe of him on a daily basis. His approach to patient care is like no other and we love that about him!” Beata states fondly.
“We acknowledge that being a caregiver in today’s home care environment is not easy,” said Jalal. “Burnout is real and very much relevant. Mental health is not just a hot topic for patients and clients, but also for the caregivers working with them.”

Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care provides assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting and other activities of daily life.
