About SYNERGY HomeCare of Chattanooga

Our purpose

SYNERGY HomeCare of Chattanooga was started by Alexandra, Mark and Lisa Piegza and Bob and Melissa Risk, with a mission to provide outstanding care to fellow residents of Chattanooga while creating a collegial and rewarding work environment for their team. Mark and Bob are veterans of the home care business as owners of Synergy Homecare of the Lowcountry, based in Hilton Head, SC. They have received the prestigious Best of Home Care- Provider of Choice award from Home Care Pulse for each of the four years they have been in operation.

Changing lives

We understand that when family members take on the daily duties of caregiving, it often compromises relationships with loved ones. Daily life can become more of a chore and they lose the ability to enjoy time together. At SYNERGY HomeCare of Chattanooga, we change lives by providing compassionate care to all clients, no matter their age and wherever they call home.

Mark and Lisa’s story

Mark and Lisa developed a passion for providing quality care to families after seeing their own parents struggle with various health issues. Although they provided care for their parents often, they also tried to find quality non-medical in-home care to give them a break, which wasn’t always easy to find.

Bob and Melissa’s story

After 25 years in the insurance industry, Bob and Melissa began their “second act.” With transferable skills from their previous adventure, providing exceptional care for others who are aging or limited by illness became their calling.

Alexandra’s story

Watching how SYNERGY HomeCare of the Lowcountry provided compassionate and attentive support for her grandmother, Helen with dementia profoundly impacted Alexandra. Helen’s caregivers not only ensured her safety and treated her with respect and dignity, but also provided peace of mind for Alexandra’s grandfather, Ed. Witnessing the level of care that SYNERGY provided made Alexandra realize the crucial role personalized care plays in improving the quality of life for those with similar challenges. This experience ignited a deep passion within her to start her own home care agency, with the goal of delivering the same exceptional, empathetic care to the Chattanooga community that so deeply benefited her grandparents.

Meet Our Team

Alexandra Piegza | General Manager

Hello! My name is Alexandra Piegza and I am the General Manager of SYNERGY HomeCare of Chattanooga. Prior to starting SYNERGY HomeCare of Chattanooga, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Finance degree. After graduation, I lived in Hilton Head, SC where I was the Care Coordinator for SYNERGY HomeCare of the Lowcountry. My experience with home care is a personal one. Our Lowcountry office cared for my grandmother for two years, and I witnessed firsthand what a positive impact outstanding care had on her as well as on my grandfather. I'm eager to provide the same level of exceptional care to our Chattanooga community! When I'm not in the office or visiting clients, you can find me hiking with my rescue dog, stand up paddleboarding, or running along the Tennessee Riverwalk. We're looking forward to learning how we can help you and your loved ones!

Kelly Lewis | Recruiting & Scheduling Coordinator

Hi, my name is Kelly Lewis! Earlier this year I joined the SYNERGY team as our Recruiting & Scheduling Coordinator, and it has truly been a rewarding experience. With my elderly mother living with us and receiving home care, I'm able to witness the positive impact SYNERGY has on her quality of life. This respite care allows my family and me to have peace of mind knowing that my mother is being cared for and is being treated with respect and dignity. I take great pride in my role with SYNERGY where I have the opportunity to offer meaningful career paths to caregivers, and also ensure that each client receives the perfect match for their needs.
