SYNERGY HomeCare in Plainfield is owned and operated by Illinois natives and husband-and-wife duo, Bailey and Kyana Wilkinson. Kyana already has experience working as a home care aide at another SYNERGY HomeCare franchise nearby, and now, after a lifetime of providing care, she and Bailey are excited to do so as the owners of their own family agency.
Kyana, Bailey, and their team assist residents throughout Aurora, Bolingbrook, Montgomery, Naperville, Oswego, and Plainfield with a range of services, including companion care, personalized in-home assistance, and specialized support for individuals managing chronic health conditions or recovering from illness or surgery.
Beginning at just 15 years old, Kyana was thrust into a caregiving role when her father was diagnosed with ALS. Before she even graduated high school, she became familiar with the role that home care professionals play in helping to maintain independence and dignity. She cites this experience as what defined the trajectory of her life, as she would later go on to become a Registered Nurse and professional home care aide, before eventually obtaining a Master of Business Administration.
Kyana also has ties to local organizations, including the John M. Scott Trust, where she sat as Chairperson for four years, Mid-Central Community Action, Inc., where she was a board member for two years, and the Black Nurses Association of Central Illinois, where she was Vice President for eight years.
While Kyana uses her industry knowledge to handle clinical oversight, her husband Bailey leverages his background in data analytics to oversee operations. Bailey also holds a Master of Science in Data Analytics as well as a bachelor’s degree in computer physics, which has helped him land senior positions in the finance sector. Supporting the Wilkinsons is also a full-time office manager who helps focus on administrative tasks and ensures that someone is always available when a client calls.
SYNERGY HomeCare in Plainfield provides a wide range of non-medical care options. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping, and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care assists with bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and other activities of daily life.
