Meet the Owners of SYNERGY HomeCare of Stockbridge, Sola Aderibigbe (featured in photo) and Kike Olagbegi, two long-time friends who joined together to create a business that would allow them to give back to their community, as they each hold a passion for caring for others. They chose SYNERGY HomeCare to answer their dreams of caring for everyone, from newborns to aging parents or loved ones.

Sola brings an accomplished career in Accounting and IT to the agency to manage the front office and related administration that accompanies any business. She is responsible for creating an office environment that is “home” to caregivers and office employees. In addition, she has initiated a methodical organization of the behind-the-scenes administration that you will recognize any time you interact with the company outside of your caregiver.

Sola personally cared for her aging father when he went from the man he was (Dad) to who he wasn’t, for two years before he passed. Throughout this time in her life, she thought of others who might be in her situation, as she knew firsthand what a roller coaster ride it can be. It was then she decided to say goodbye to her Accounting career and hello to creating a home care agency. She held empathy for those in similar situations and knew she had the skill, compassion and patience to help others remain living in their own homes, wholeheartedly.

With Kike’s strong background in IT, she was “itching” to make a career change that would give her life more significant meaning. And she found it when Sola approached her about opening a SYNERGY HomeCare franchise; she lit up and gave Sola a wholehearted “yes!” The rest is history.

Lockstep with their one-client approach to providing compassionate, individual care is their commitment to excellence when hiring and training caregivers. Their caregivers share their passion for helping people, as Sola said, “especially those who are not able to help themselves even if they wish to. I strongly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live life in the most humane and decent manner.”

In addition to inherent compassion, they ensure their caregivers are either a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a Home Health Aide (HHA) or a Personal Care Assistant (PCA). They require caregivers to be certified, except for homemaker companions, who do not require any certification. They provide ongoing training and support for caregivers who need a pathway to certification and encourage anyone who has a passion for caring for others to apply.

Kike has cultivated a caring and open environment for the Caregivers to be a part of the SYNERGY HomeCare family. Both owners like to think they care for their caregivers as well as their caregivers care for their clients—and that is a lot of great caring! Caring begins in their office with detailed training that emphasizes the importance of leading with compassion and caring for others as though they were a member of the family.
