About SYNERGY HomeCare of Winter Park
SYNERGY HomeCare of Winter Park is owned and operated by Paulette Gordon, a mother and third-generation caregiver who has spent over 15 years working in hospital settings as a registered nurse in facilities around Florida. Paulette and her team serve Winter Park residents and the surrounding communities of Baldwin Park, Conway, Colonialtown, College Park, and Thornton Park.
Paulette grew up watching her mother, grandmother and step-grandmother all serve as caregivers, which eventually inspired Paulette to enter the field at only 16 years old. Since starting her very first job at an assisted living facility, Paulette’s life has been centered around caring for others.
After discovering her passion for serving and spending time with older people, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in 2006. Paulette became a nurse, and eventually a nurse practitioner, well-versed in various clinical disciplines after working in a step-down unit, ICU, and emergency department. She graduated with her Master’s in Nursing at FAU in 2012. Following the birth of her daughter in 2020, she transitioned back to her roots working in a skilled nursing facility.
Her time spent in hospitals and other clinical settings, as well as her own experience watching her family members provide care, has provided Paulette with a deep knowledge of the benefits and obstacles that face the caregiving industry.
Oftentimes, Paulette would see the challenge her patients faced when there wasn’t an extended care plan in place when they returned home. This led Paulette to look into opening her own SYNERGY HomeCare agency.
Her favorite part of caregiving is listening to clients talk about their stories and life experiences, and being a friend in their times of need. Aging and illness can be an isolating and scary experience, and Paulette takes great pride in being a hand to hold throughout it.
Paulette also understands that caregiving requires all hands on deck. She is committed to providing exceptional care for her clients and the rest of the family. Her goal is to allow you to enjoy spending as much quality time with your loved one as possible, while she and her team take care of the rest.
SYNERGY HomeCare of Winter Park provides a wide range of non-medical in-home care options. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care provides assistance with bathing, dressing, using the toilet and other activities of daily life.
