The people behind our home care

PROPELLING LIVES FORWARD

If you’ve been searching for a home care agency for your care or your loved one’s care, then you know there is a sea of sameness in the dozens of home care choices, making it difficult to actually choose one. And we know that can be frustrating.

Meet Indrani (Indi) and Sudip Ghosh, a globetrotting couple who finally planted roots in Inland Empire. They are the new owners of SYNERGY HomeCare of Upland.

Sudip wanted to be sure Indi found the perfect career that would incorporate her Double Masters in education and her experience caring for others. After graduating, Indi sought positions that wouldn’t corner her in a classroom—she wanted to be helping others as she did working previously in hospice environments and within behavioral health. Home care was a perfect fit for both Indi and Sudip.

Sudip’s career as an engineer keeps him involved with all employees, from those on the production floor to every department. He enjoys interacting and learning from others. He is definitely a people-person and his nature fits well with home care.

Indi is much like Sudip in terms of embracing others. She loves people. Caring for people is a calling for her. When they found SYNERGY HomeCare, they found their dream.  Sudip helps Indi run the business in the background and the public-facing person is 100% Indi.

When you visit these two you can see how well they complement each other. It’s very apparent that they care about each other’s happiness and that frame of mind translates to their SYNERGY HomeCare employees. This is a wonderful model of a happy family that values all people. Weaving these values in their work is a wonderful model for their nearly 7-year old daughter to witness.

Indi knew that hiring and retaining dedicated caregivers would be the biggest challenge of owning a home care agency. However, her hospice experience paved the way to create a smart communication model that keeps caregivers better-informed to manage clients well and keep them happy in their own homes.

Indi’s vision is to grow the company with a core group of committed and dedicated caregivers.  Her mantra is, “When they give, I give.” When her employees show the type of dedication that mirrors hers, she is happy. Indi states that it’s not a job, it’s an opportunity. Caregivers get specialized, ongoing training, incentives, rewards and recognition, as they are valued members of the company and its growth.

With home care, it’s rare to find an operational model like the one Indi has created. She cares for the caregivers as though they were clients, and that’s a unique paradigm in home care management.

Their dedication to providing the very best care for their clients is apparent and supported by their commitment to their caregivers. For clients, caregivers and the Ghoshes, it’s a win-win situation!

Yvonne Spann | Care Team Manager

Yvonne Spann realizes that very person is in a different stage of life, is in a different place with their situation. And our job is coming in to recognize, in a very intuitively personal way, the needs of our client and help them live their best life. Wherever you are, our job is to be there and meet you at that place. The result of that is that the client and their loved ones feel more confident. They feel better, and the families feel better as well.
She brings extensive experience in caring for all types of individuals and situations as well a developed ability to supervise and manage care teams. She is well versed in in-home care.
When her father entered hospice, she left her 12-year position with a care organization. It was during this time, that she realized the importance of caregiving to those who are ill or aging and unable to do the simplest of things. She educated herself in gerontology as she began to pay more attention to her father’s illness and his process of aging. Working closely with the hospice staff in those two years, she gained hands-on experience in caregiving. After her dad passed, she decided to enter the field of home care, as she developed a passion to help others. Coupling her newfound knowledge of in-home care with her honed skills to manage a motivated and compassionate care team, she found SYNERGY HomeCare and is their biggest advocate for their mission to those needing in-home care due to illness or aging.

With whole hearts and open arms, we keep your life moving forward in the best ways possible.
