From our most senior clients to our youngest, we support families across every age and stage of life—helping older adults remain safe, independent, and connected at home through companion care, personal care, daily routines, and specialized care for dementia, memory loss, Parkinson’s disease, chronic illness; supporting adults through illness, surgery, cancer treatment, recovery; and helping children and families through pediatric home care and urgent backup childcare when trusted support is needed most.

Why We Built This Agency
SYNERGY HomeCare in Studio City is led by CEO Asha Kumar and COO Rosalyn Vasquez, longtime friends bringing more than four decades of combined experience across healthcare, operations, law, compliance, advocacy, and community service. As daughters, mothers, entrepreneurs, and members of the Sandwich Generation, they understand firsthand the responsibilities of caring for family while building careers and navigating health challenges.
For Asha, caregiving became personal when her father—a physician and healthcare entrepreneur—developed a life-threatening lung condition that ultimately required a transplant. Even with deep healthcare experience, she learned how overwhelming it can be to coordinate care for someone you love. Her perspective later deepened through her own experiences with cancer, autoimmune conditions, surgery, and recovery. Asha studied Sociology and Communications at UCLA and earned an MPH/MBA at Johns Hopkins University specializing in Health Finance & Management.
For Rosalyn, caregiving became personal as she watched her husband and sister-in-law support their aging mother while managing demanding careers and raising young children. She studied at USC and Cal State Long Beach before earning her law degree from Southwestern Law School. As an enforcement attorney with the California Department of Social Services, Rosalyn spent years protecting vulnerable populations and evaluating organizations entrusted with their care. She describes her transition from enforcement to service as deeply healing—an opportunity to help build the kind of organization families, clients, and caregivers deserve.
