Sarah and Jeremy Claridge – Owners

Shanna Tourtlotte - SYNERGY HomeCare of BillingsWelcome! We are Sarah and Jeremy Claridge. We joined the SYNERGY HomeCare family in December 2020 as owners of SYNERGY HomeCare of the West Valley. We are native Arizonans, having both grown up in the Valley of the Sun. We’ve been married for over 25 years and are parents to some truly wonderful children.

Jeremy grew up with his elderly Grandmothers living in his home. Both grandmothers had early onset Alzheimer’s. “Nana,” his paternal Grandmother, lived in the home when he was a little boy. He remembers watching his Mother provide tender and compassionate care to Nana. He was given the job of vacuuming Nana’s floors and providing companionship to her. He enjoyed spending time with Nana, even as she progressed into the later stages of Alzheimer’s. He was heartbroken at age 11 when she passed away. A few years later, “Grandma,” his maternal Grandmother, moved into their home. His Mother again provided tender and compassionate care, this time providing care to her own Mother. Jeremy saw firsthand the positive impact that quality, compassionate care can make in a person’s life. It is from these experiences in his home that he developed a passion for caring for people. He has continued to love and serve others throughout his life. Jeremy is pleased to continue caring for others as part of the SYNERGY HomeCare family.

Sarah’s passion for caring for others also developed early in life. As the oldest child in her family, she grew up loving and caring for her siblings. At an early age, her mother taught her that her words and actions could bring joy or hurt to those around her. Her mother encouraged her to always choose to bring joy. Sarah has strived to follow her mother’s counsel. Her friends and associates will tell you that Sarah breathes positivity. She is always looking for ways to help and serve in her community. She has been involved in many different service organizations and served in a variety of roles. When the opportunity came to join the SYNERGY HomeCare family, she happily joined. It was an easy choice because their values mirrored her own: Care for Everyone!

Sarah, Mary, and the team at Synergy have been such a blessing to our family. My father-in-law suddenly needed 24/7 in-home care following an emergency hospital stay. Sarah came to the hospital and advocated for him and our family during a time we were all overwhelmed, sleep deprived, and out of our depths in the new world of elderly patient long term care. She knew all the right questions to ask and all the right people to talk to when we had no idea what steps to take next. She helped us navigate the muddy waters of VA red tape and gave us hope that someone really did care and the sky was in fact not falling.

With less than 24 hours notice, Mary, the care coordinator, was able to coordinate a caregiver schedule to allow someone to be at the house 24/7 when we arrived home from the hospital. She was compassionate and patient in working with us and in constant communication to address any concerns we had as we ironed out the details and got settled into the new schedule.

The team at Synergy was a godsend for our family. We’re so thankful to have found them when we did. They gave us peace of mind and helped my father-in-law to stay in his home where he’s lived for 40+ years as opposed to going into an assisted living facility.
