SYNERGY HomeCare of South Reno is owned and operated by Nathan and Amanda Starr, a husband and wife duo who have years of leadership experience in the technology and finance industries, as well as a deep-rooted family history of community service.
Nathan, Amanda and their team of caregivers provide all residents of Reno as well as the communities of Carson City, Incline Village, Spanish Springs, Sparks, Verdi, Virginia City and Washoe Valley with a range of services including companion care, personalized in-home assistance and specialized support for individuals managing chronic health conditions or recovering from illness or surgery.
The Starrs were led to the home care industry by Nathan’s late mother, who recently passed away but exemplified the importance of service and compassion throughout her life. She was known in her community for her regular acts of kindness and care, which is a tradition that Nathan and Amanda now continue.
One of these Starr family traditions is their yearly community service around the holidays. Since he was young, Nathan’s family has “adopted” less fortunate children and supplied them with gifts during the holiday season. Nathan and Amanda, along with their friends and family, have continued this tradition and provide over 50 children with toys and clothing each year.
Amanda is also a successful entrepreneur, as she owns and operates a bookkeeping firm with the knowledge she gained by working as the former Director of Operations and Finances for a financial advisor. Nathan complements Amanda’s entrepreneurial spirit with his 18 years of sales and management experience at the executive level within the technology space.
SYNERGY HomeCare of South Reno provides a wide range of non-medical care services. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care provides assistance with bathing, dressing, using the toilet and other activities of daily life.
