The Wright family is the proud owners of SYNERGY HomeCare of Lee-Pontotoc County, the first SYNERGY HomeCare in the state of Mississippi.
Meet a family who believes their purpose in life is to help others. Father and grandfather, Leo Wright, the patriarch of the family and role model has been a pastor to this day and is the primary caregiver of his wife, Gladys. In October 2015, Gladys suffered a massive stroke leaving her partially paralyzed on her left side.
It was a natural move for the family to make their life’s work caring for others and the driving force to become the owners of SYNERGY HomeCare. It’s their way of giving back to the community and helping those affected by age or illness to live their best lives in their own homes, happily. The Wright family also knows that people sometimes simply need an extra helping hand with day-to-day tasks and a little TLC.
Both Leo and Gladys passed on the family mission to humbly help others to their son, Derrick and daughter, Shreka Wright-Knight. The family business is made complete with their granddaughter, Deadra who recently graduated from Mississippi State. For each of them, Shreka says, “It’s natural and easy to have compassion for others.” Growing up, both she and her brother saw firsthand the difference a little love and compassion made in people’s lives through the kind and selfless acts of their father and mother.
It’s easy to understand why Deadra is joining her family to operate SYNERGY HomeCare. Her unfettered drive for learning and to bring an immeasurable amount of compassion to helping others live their best lives brings the teachings of both Leo and Gladys full circle.
