SYNERGY HomeCare in Rochester is owned and operated by Joel and Meredith Bell, a husband-and-wife duo of Minnesota natives who decided to venture into the home care industry after watching their own parents navigate the aging process. The Bells are already proud business owners in Rochester, and they hope their latest venture will help them to provide an even more valuable service to their community’s vulnerable residents.
The Bells and their team of caregivers assist residents throughout Olmsted County with a range of services, including companion care, personalized in-home assistance, and specialized support for individuals managing chronic health conditions or recovering from illness or surgery.
Before venturing into the world of franchising, Meredith graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in agriculture and marketing. She quickly put her degree to use, taking management positions with big box retailers, including Target and Walmart. Shortly after, she and Joel welcomed their three daughters and then transitioned into business ownership with the opening of their own franchised family-operated restaurant.
As Meredith and Joel’s parents began to age and require additional assistance, the Bells noticed a similar recurring theme among many of the customers who frequented their restaurant. Time and time again, they heard the overwhelming desire from sandwich generation adults who wanted to keep their parents comfortable in their homes without worrying that their needs would go unmet. That’s when the Bells looked into joining a home care franchise.
SYNERGY HomeCare in Rochester provides a wide range of non-medical care options. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping, and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care assists with bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and other activities of daily life.
