My story starts with my family. As the primary caregiver for my mother-in-law, who lived with dementia, and a college student, I wasn’t sure how I would juggle all the responsibility. With the help of our caregivers, I was able to finish my degree. This made me realize the life-changing impact that quality care can have for families and lead me on this journey of helping others.

The church that I grew up in often visited nursing homes, so I spent a lot of time talking to the residents and getting to know them and their stories. These relationships gave me an understanding and a passion for preserving dignity through all stages of life. Today, I love being able to make a difference in the lives of our clients and am grateful to be in a role where I can serve others in meaningful ways.

I’ve always had a natural inclination to care for others, however seeing my grandfather in his final days and wishing he had someone to provide him with the support and compassion he needed inspired me to pursue this path. What I enjoy most about caregiving is having the ability to bring joy, comfort, and peace of mind to both my clients and their families. For me, caregiving isn’t just a job. It’s a way to show up for people when they need it most!

I have been a nurse for 18 years! I became very fascinated with the medical field during my high school years and decided to pursue a career in nursing. I spent the last 5 years working on a general medical floor as well as being a part of a wound care team. I love interacting with my patients and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!
