Memorial Day is dedicated to honoring those who have given their lives in service to our country. As we approach Memorial Day, we take time to reflect on the sacrifices made by
\ncountless men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. At Synergy Homecare, we hold our veteran clients in the highest regard, not just on Memorial Day, but
\nevery day. Synergy Homecare is proud to be contracted through Veteran Affairs (VA), ensuring that our veteran clients can access the benefits they have earned. This allows us to offer<\/p>\n

services that are covered under VA benefits, reducing financial burdens and making high- quality care more accessible.<\/p>\n

For many veterans, especially those who are aging or have disabilities, homecare is an essential component of their well-being. Veteran Homecare Benefits vary for each individual but may Include:<\/p>\n

1. Homemaker\/Home Health Aid Care: this covers respite care for Veterans and help with activities of daily living. Care is provided by organizations like Synergy, who are part of a
\nCommunity Care Network of VA approved providers.<\/p>\n

2. VA Aid and Attendance: this benefit is paid by the VA to eligible Veterans, spouses, and surviving spouse in addition to a veterans basic pension. It covers assistance with ADL,
\nmemory care, and support for a disability or illness.<\/p>\n

3. Veteran Directed Care: Eligible Veterans can manage their own care and hire caregivers to help them age in place based on their health status and care needs. 30 days of respite care
\nis also available each year.<\/p>\n

4. Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers: Assistance for family caregivers who live with the Veteran full time. Along with at least 30 days of respite cared.

\nboth physical and mental health needs, tailored to each individual\u2019s service history and personal circumstances.<\/p>\n
