SYNERGY HomeCare in Mount Dora is owned and operated by Kristen Snell, a seasoned veteran in healthcare who has spent the past 15 years climbing the corporate ladder until she became an executive at one of the largest healthcare companies in the U.S. With her healthcare experience and a desire for a more purpose-driven career, she looked to home care.
Kristen and her team of caregivers assist residents throughout Clermont, Eustis, and Mount Dora with a range of services, including companion care, personalized in-home assistance, and specialized support for individuals managing chronic health conditions or recovering from illness or surgery.
Following her graduation from the University of Pennsylvania, Kristen jumped straight into the corporate world, first starting as an account manager with a Florida-based insurance company. Shortly after, she was hired by the same Fortune 500 company where she eventually became Vice President of National Broker Relations, coordinating with national partners and clinical teams alike. In her roles here, many of her efforts were focused on improving healthcare outcomes for patients via tailored care solutions, which is a skill that now lends itself perfectly to Kristen’s new career.
In her personal life, Kristen became familiar with the value of service thanks to her parents and grandparents. Both of her parents were former New York police officers who committed themselves to the safety of their community. This value resonated with Kristen, who also noticed it in the caregivers who came to her family’s aid when her grandparents struggled to remain independent as they aged. Although her parents and family caregivers exemplified a commitment to service in two very different ways, Kristen understood that both were just as valuable.
