ABOUT SYNERGY HOMECARE OF AVENTURA
SYNERGY HomeCare of Aventura is owned and operated by Rick Lopez, a master’s graduate in public health and a former first responder with over ten years of experience in local healthcare.
Rick and his team of caregivers serve residents in Aventura, Eastern Shores, Golden Shores, Sunny Isles Beach and North Miami Beach with various non-medical care options, from companion care to personal and respite care.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Health Science and his master’s degree in Public Health from the University of South Florida, Lopez spent the next ten years working in southeast Florida in the occupational health and safety management industries. Rick also spent time working as an EMT in Tampa, learning how to provide care in the most extreme environments.
Lopez was raised in a household that lived by the golden rule – treat others how you want to be treated. The biggest supporter of this philosophy in his early life was his grandmother, who managed a foster care program that looked over more than 100 children. Lopez observed the change that his grandmother was able to make in each child’s life and knew that when he got older, he wanted to make a similar impact within his community.
Aside from opening his own homecare franchise, Rick spends hundreds of hours volunteering in the Miami-Dade County area, doing things such as gardening, feeding the homeless in women’s shelters, donating school supplies to local elementary schools and providing over $40,000 worth of meals to military veterans.
As a former EMT, Rick understands the daily needs of the people in his community and the challenges that local families face.
SYNERGY HomeCare of Aventura provides an array of non-medical care options. Companion care includes assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, light housekeeping, and other tasks that allow clients to live independently. Personal care provides assistance with bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and other activities of daily life.
