Higher level care when you need it the most
CARE THAT MOVES EVERYONE
Aging elders are not the only individuals who may need in-home help. Your loved one may require non-medical care if they are living with a disability, recovering from disease, or an illness, living with memory or cognitive loss, or are a new or expectant mother.
CARE FOR WHERE YOU ARE. AND WHERE YOU'D LIKE TO GO.
We understand that the first step in determining what type of care is most appropriate is to first meet with you and your loved one for a complimentary in-home assessment and visit. During this visit, we want to learn more about how your loved one’s day-to-day activities are impacted so that together we can develop a customized plan of non-medical care for our care team to follow.
CARING FOR INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH A DISABILITY
Going through life with different abilities is not always easy. The world we live in expects us all to be strong and capable of doing every task all the time. Door handles, shower stalls and bathtubs, steering wheels, and even pots and pans are made for those with full function. Some of these can be adjusted to help us get through the day, but others cannot.
SYNERGY HomeCare helps clients living with a disability maintain independence by helping them accomplish the day’s tasks. More importantly, we allow them to enhance the quality of their lives by assisting them with the activities that deplete their energy and can become barriers to pursuing their interests, passions and hobbies.
ILLNESS CARE
Going through the many steps and stages in disease diagnosis, treatment, recovery or relapse are intense and can change everything you knew to be true. You do not have to face this alone. At SYNERGY HomeCare, we truly know the ins and outs of what you and your family are facing. Our SYNERGY HomeCare team is dedicated to providing you the care you need most.
Every reaction you have to this uninvited event is normal. And we at SYNERGY HomeCare want to lessen your burden. We can be the ears that listen when you can’t or don’t want to burden family and friends with your thoughts. Getting it off your chest is important to your emotional well-being through all of this. We can make the meals so that your only task is to eat it (which can be task enough sometimes!). We can keep you moving. Our caregivers can take daily or twice-daily walks with you. They can help you adhere to a physical therapy plan for a lasting recovery. Or when rest is key, let our caregivers run an errand so you can conserve some energy.
NON-MEDICAL CARE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH MEMORY LOSS
Diseases and other conditions that affect memory can leave a person and a family feeling lost. Our caregivers are able to assist those with memory loss in a compassionate, caring way, and we perform extensive national background checks on all of them to put your mind at ease.
Memory can be sustained longer when things remain familiar, like being able to stay in one’s home longer. New, unfamiliar surroundings like a new residence or assisted living facility may be challenging to adjust to. Adjusting to a facility’s schedule that guides when to eat, when to shower and when to take medications can be the exact opposite of how your loved one wants to do things. Our caregivers work with you and your loved one to pick the right time for them to get things done.
For many living with memory challenges, staying active and engaged can be the key to moving forward in a joyful life. We help by giving them the one-on-one attention they need to adjust and be comfortable, instead of sharing the time and attention of a caregiver with many other memory patients. Plus, if appropriate, we can create a calendar of social outings for your loved one to keep them moving toward new life experiences and adventures.
NURTURING CARE FOR NEW OR EXPECTANT MOMS
The growth of a family is precious, but that doesn’t mean that pregnancy is easy or straightforward. All the physical, hormonal and emotional changes can be intense — never mind that sleep deprivation starts in pregnancy itself.
Whether you are expecting your first baby or your fifth, this addition to your family requires an adjustment period. We can help with laundry, light housekeeping and errands when rest is key. If you are on strict bed rest, our caregivers can help with bathing and personal care so you don’t have to strain at all. Your health and safety come first.
When home with your baby, we can help the two (or more!) of you. We can offer child care relief with our caregivers who have passed strict national and state background checks. Our caregivers are available 24/7. This may just be the relief you need to get a few hours of much-needed rest or even a full night’s sleep. Our caregivers can nurture you back to good health and function after delivery.
