We apply this philosophy first and foremost with our own caregivers so they are inspired to provide exceptional care to our clients and their families. This may include supporting seniors to age successfully in their own homes, providing needed respite for family caregivers, or just being another set of helping hands when life becomes overwhelming.
We match our clients with skilled and trusted caregivers who have a calling to serve, and who we have trained and empowered to provide safe, quality care, and to elevate wellbeing through Exercise, Nutrition, Social Connection, and Communication.
Who we help
SYNERGY HomeCare focuses on non-medical home care for people of all ages. We provide companionship, homemaking, and personal care in the comfort of your home. We serve seniors looking to maintain a normal, healthy, active lifestyle. We are also available to serve the developmentally disabled, those suffering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, expectant mothers, and even to provide childcare services. We can also provide short-term help for those needing assistance after surgery or during recovery, or for transportation and care for outpatient procedures.
For special occasions, we can help your loved one get ready, take them to the function, and wait until they are ready to go home, and then take them home and get them settled back in.
We can relate to people who worry about their parents who live far away. We understand the challenges of staying in touch and knowing what’s happening with your parent. At SYNERGY HomeCare, we provide you with the communication and connection you need when you live a long distance from your loved one.
Where We Help
We will go where you need us. We can come to your home, to an assisted living facility, nursing home, and can provide one-on-on sitting services during hospital stays. We can help with hospital discharges, to ensure the client is taken home, settled in at home, has picked up all their medications at the pharmacy, has been fed, and is ready for us to leave them.
Our volunteer efforts cover participating in the San Francisco AIDS Walk, serving on the board of non-profit organizations, volunteering as coaches (3 of us in 3 different sports!), in the PTAs, in the classroom, various non-profit organizations, the San Francisco Food Bank, and even a local community theater company. This is not an exhaustive list! We give back to our community constantly.
Our Caregivers
Providing compassionate and high-quality caregivers is a personal priority for me. We personally screen and interview every single caregiver on our team. Our caregivers are all employees of the company, all registered Home Care Aides with the State of California, bonded and insured, have passed a national background check, are certified in CPR and First Aid, and are TB Tested. We only hire those caregivers that we would feel comfortable taking care of our own loved ones. After matching you with a caregiver, we will closely monitor the caregiving relationship, with phone and in-person quality visits.

I am so honored to serve the people in my community. I have a Master’s degree in Adapted Physical Activity (SJSU), and have served in several organizations helping to make a positive impact on seniors, adults, and children of all ability levels and dimensions of diversity.
Personally, home care has touched my life in a significant way. For a number of years I have relied on in-home caregivers to support my own parents, Bob and Darleen Nelson (both retired teachers from the Campbell/San Jose area), who have faced many of the mental and physical challenges that accompany aging. Although their caregivers were very nice people and met their basic needs, I always felt there was more that could be done to help seniors thrive in their own home. Following this experience, and many years helping people with various disabilities, I was compelled to start a home care business that serves everyone.
We have a wonderful, caring, and highly qualified team who are ready to help you and your family in your time of need.
