Recognizing SYNERGY HomeCare Caregivers

Dear Friends and Families,

Our caregivers are important to us at SYNERGY HomeCare, and we are proud to dedicate this newsletter to them. At more than 20,000 strong, our national careTEAM represents a group of dedicated and compassionate people who help people every day.

With the right kind of caregiving, recovery can be smoother, immobility can be more active and aging in place can be rewarding and liberating. When personal care, companionship or other help is needed, our caregivers often step in and make a difference in the lives of people of all ages and needs. SYNERGY HomeCare caregivers not only attend to the needs of the people they serve; they enhance their lives.

We have set the bar high for our caregivers, with required background checks, drug screening and continuing education. On top of that, our caregivers hold themselves to high standards.  It takes a unique caliber of person to go into someone else’s home and make it more comfortable for the resident. Imagine grocery shopping, light housekeeping and cooking for someone you don’t know. This would put many people out of their comfort zones. Our caregivers have the opposite reaction in this situation, often going out of their way to make daily living better for the people they serve.

For example, our 2011 Caregiver of the Year, Florence Thompson, brought her own cleaning supplies to improve the hospitality of her immobile client’s home. Even when “off the clock”, many of our caregivers call in to inquire about the health and wellness of their clients. These are just a few ways in which our caregivers go the extra mile for the people in their care. Look forward to more examples of great caregiving this month on our blog.

I would like to personally extend my gratitude and appreciation to each member of our national careTEAM. If you are unfamiliar with the high quality care provided by these caregivers, please contact your local SYNERGY HomeCare office to find the right caregiver for you.

Sincerely,

Peter Tourian
