Home Care for Veterans and their Families

Disabled Veteran and Spouse

Navigating through the maze of benefits available to veterans can be challenging.  These programs help provide access to healthcare, supportive devices, social services, and home care.  SYNERGY HomeCare in Tucson is proud to provide help to the men and women that have served our country.  We work with the Veterans Administration (VA) and other organizations to provide care for veterans.  This care can be the difference that veterans need to help them thrive physically and socially.

The VA Aid and Attendance program provides a monthly benefit to veterans and their surviving spouses.  The benefit is based upon physical need, the veteran’s service, and financial situation.  This benefit is designed to support people who need help with daily activities like bathing and dressing, those that are disabled or bed-bound, and those who are blind or have significantly impaired vision.  SYNERGY HomeCare caregivers provide this type of help.

The VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide service helps veterans by providing personal care assistance and help with activities of daily living.  This is an alternative to nursing care or as respite care for a family member.  Homemaker and Home Health Aide program caregivers are employees of SYNERGY HomeCare.  SYNERGY HomeCare contracts with the VA through Community Based Services.

SYNERGY Homecare caregivers can assist veterans with the following activities:

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Toileting
  • Mobility – walking, transfers
  • Grooming
  • Eating

In addition to providing these services, caregivers offer much-needed companionship.  They can engage in conversation and activities.

SYNERGY HomeCare can help veterans navigate through the process of support through the VA.
