When families decide to secure in-home care services for a family member who needs assistance with their activities of daily living, it is essential that they select a home care agency that truly understands the subtle nuances and diverse dynamics of the home care industry.
The management team and the Portadin family make it their business to treat all of the individuals under their care with dignity, respect, and compassion -- all while promoting their daily independence. With over 160 offices throughout the United States, including several in New Jersey, SYNERGY HomeCare has both national resources and local owners who treat each home care patient under their care as an extension of their own family. SYNERGY HomeCare of Mid-Jersey's Colts Neck location is proud to bring compassionate care to both seniors and non-seniors throughout Monmouth County, N.J.
“It's important to remember that home care is an essential element in maintaining independence amongst the senior community and also for those individuals with special needs or debilitating diseases. All too often our clients are initially apprehensive about allowing someone to enter their home and assist them with their ADL's (activities of daily living) because they fear that it signals a relinquishing of their independence, but what they soon come to realize is that it's quite the opposite. Allowing a caregiver into their life helps to actually promote their independence and allows them to stay in their own home rather than entering assisted living or a senior living community.” –Jennifer Portadin, Co-Managing Partner
As operators of a fully licensed Home Health Care Service Firm, it is our goal to provide high-quality care and reliable service to both seniors and non-seniors in their comfortable, familiar home setting. We are involved in every aspect of our agency’s operation and we believe that despite the growing number of home care agencies sprouting up throughout New Jersey and nationwide, there still remains a dearth of knowledgeable, compassionate home care providers who truly understand the industry's landscape and its countless challenges. It is our belief that the key component absent from far too many in-home care companies is that they don’t care for clients as they would a member of their very own family. That is why the “family caregiver” model is the driving force behind our agency's approach to caregiving each and every day.
At SYNERGY HomeCare of Mid-Jersey, we are backed by an enthusiastic care TEAM. Each caregiver we bring on board is carefully vetted and submits to a thorough background investigation at the local, state, and national level. Additionally, we are NIHCA accredited, N.J. State licensed, bonded, and fully insured. Every caregiver who works for SYNERGY HomeCare of Mid-Jersey is an employee covered under our professional liability insurance. We never hire independent contractors and our home health aides are all paid according to the state and federal tax regulations and covered in accordance with all workman's compensation laws so that the client and their family have nothing to worry about. This is not the case with many other "agencies" who erroneously apply "1099 status" to their caregivers and operate under a staffing agency model that leaves the client's family liable for substantial risks related to payroll taxes, social security withholdings, unemployment laws, workers compensation, scheduling coordination, overtime laws, and caregiver supervision. Our true agency approach and dedicated team can provide both care and peace of mind 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
