You probably have a loved one—most likely an aging parent— who needs non-medical home care. You've come to the right place. We understand and can help.
Or maybe you're a senior who has realized that you just can't do everything by yourself anymore and are bravely reaching out for some extra help. If this is the case, learn more here.
The good news is that our experience in-home care is extensive and we care for you or your loved one as though you were a member of our family.
Our secret sauce is a mixture of compassion, experience and continuity of care, whether we’re with your loved one for a few hours a week or 24 hours a day.
The best thing you can do for yourself as you navigate home care for your loved one is to download and read the book, "Where Do We Begin," a complete guide to eldercare. You probably have many questions—this guide will answer most. Call us with any unanswered questions.
Learning about each other is important
While we do believe that we are the best in-home care agency in the Livonia area, we'd like to prove it to you. After our initial discussion, we schedule a complimentary in-home assessment for you to learn more about us as an agency and as caring individuals. We meet with you and any other involved family members, and of course, your loved one, if you desire.
We learn everything we can about your loved one—when they take their prescription medicine and what dosage, to what their favorite foods are, to habits, limitations and so on. We gather information about what you expect from your caregiver so that we can meet, or exceed your expectations. We'll be sure to ask you to identify any problems, special needs, strengths, weaknesses and resources, as well as evaluate your loved one's:
Our assessment has many benefits
The benefit that towers above all others is the peace of mind that you feel from knowing you've finally initiated care for the person who may have spent a lifetime caring for you. And some argue that they are more excited at the cost savings of home care versus an assisted living facility or nursing home. Most of our clients indicate they feel so much better from the peace of mind we offer, but they’re equally as happy about saving a lot of money by using in-home care.
And the little secret about in-home care that you'll never hear from an assisted living facility or nursing home: one on one, individual care is given by in-home caregivers, not one caregiver for every eight patients. That is more special than you might imagine.
One of the beauties of in-home care is that it reinforces and supports care provided by family members and friends, while your loved one maintains their dignity and independence—and morale.
