Hello! We are Ian and Brooke McClintock, the proud owners of SYNERGY HomeCare here in Colorado Springs. We both began our caregiving careers, unknowingly, during our teenage years while caring for younger and older family members in each of our households. Whether it was one of our seven combined siblings or one of our grandparents, we both have always shared a passion to help and care for those who need assistance. Now that we are parents, our young boys (Bryce and Ryder) have just strengthened our passion for providing loving care to individuals in need!
Growing up with grandparents in each of our houses and helping them with daily activities provided us invaluable experience from a very young age. And this also allowed us to bond with our families to the extent that most families don’t get to experience. For this, we are forever grateful!
However, we also saw up close and personal how incredibly exhausting and straining to care for seniors and dependent family members can be on families in which all adults must also work full-time jobs. It was because of these childhood experiences, as well as our desire to have fulfilling careers that allow us to play a positive and integral role in our community, that we decided to open our own home care agency.
On a more personal note, we both grew up in the small rural town of Somerset, Pennsylvania located about an hour southeast of Pittsburgh. As childhood sweethearts, we dated on and off throughout junior high and high school before finally reuniting, on a permanent basis, towards the end of our college years. We got married in 2009 and now have two wonderful boys ages four (Ryder) and five (Bryce). Our family is honored and overjoyed to have the opportunity to provide compassionate care to the wonderful people here in our home of Colorado Springs!
An effective home care agency requires compassion, organization, reliability, and commitment. SYNERGY HomeCare of Colorado Springs was founded with these characteristics. Furthermore, we continues to reinforce them every day with our CARE Team. We are committed to providing compassionate care to the Colorado Springs community and are actively involved in our community. We work with the Senior Resource Council, the Area Agency on Aging, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Colorado Springs Senior Center to improve in-home care options available to the public.
Our promise to you is that we will do everything possible in order to assist you with maintaining the peace and dignity everyone desires while living in the comfort of his or her own home, wherever home may be. We invite you to call us today to let our team help you design a care plan that fits the needs of you or your loved one.

Growing up in a rural blue-collar town in western Pennsylvania instilled the values of discipline, hard work, and pride in me at a very young age while also providing motivation to seek greater opportunities. Growing up in that area also ignited a love of mountains and the outdoors for me as a child.
Based on this upbringing, I chose to attend college at Montana State University in Bozeman where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Having a strong passion to serve the public, I began my career as a federal government employee working within the Department of Defense. I have several military veterans within my family and knew that I could honor their legacy while serving our country and contributing to our national defense with this career choice. Within the Department of Defense, I spent 10+ years assisting the Navy with various aspects of program management that included direct responsibility for cost, schedule, and performance of billion-dollar shipbuilding programs.
During the first few years of my tenure at the Department of Defense, I attended George Washington University where I earned a Master’s degree in Engineering Management. During my career as a public servant, I learned the true family-oriented nature that the military culture thrives upon and, once again, saw how caring for others leads to a very fulfilling life.
After Brooke and I had our first child, I knew that I wanted to have an even more direct and tangible contribution to our community so that our children could grow up knowing the importance of caring for others. SYNERGY HomeCare provides me that opportunity to positively impact the lives of numerous families, and the community as a whole, here in Colorado Springs… and I couldn’t be happier!
When I’m not at work, the thing I love most is spending time with my family! I also love the outdoors and outdoor activities including hiking, camping, swimming, biking, running, golfing, skiing, traveling, and just playing in the back yard with my kiddos!
Hi there, I’m Brooke. I am the owner and director of client care of SYNERGY HomeCare, a registered dental hygienist, a mother to two adorable little boys, a wife, a daughter, a sister, granddaughter and a Rotarian. My life began in the quaint, rural farm town of Somerset in western Pennsylvania.
When it came time to attend college, I knew I wanted to work one on one with people in a health care setting. I attended Allegheny College of Maryland to become a licensed registered dental hygienist. During the past fifteen years, I have happily worked in a variety of settings, ranging from family to holistic to cosmetic to periodontal dental offices. I’ve served the full spectrum of clientele, ages ranging from 1 year old to 102 years old, with the last several years focusing on the senior community as a geriatric hygienist for a periodontist. This most recent experience is what drove me to find an opportunity where I could have an even greater impact on the care provided to our elders.
My upbringing, career and life experiences have taught me valuable lessons to devote myself to serving our senior community. My goals are to provide your loved one premier care in their home (wherever home may be), build long-lasting relationships and be an advocate for folks receiving our care.
I spend most of my free time playing games and having fun with my two little boys and Ian. Thanks to my Gram, sewing has been a hobby since my childhood and I have a particular fondness for anything outdoors-hiking, biking, camping, gardening, snowboarding and just enjoying our great state of Colorado.
